Actually I read in a book on vampire legends there is an old legend of vampires that sparkle. The Twilight books still suck though.
In the distance Sonata Dusk sees them and starts singing.
Because REAL vampires don’t sparkle, only the ones in Meyer’s poorly written Mary Sue trash do that (and even then only in direct sunlight).
But seriously, sparkling vampires are FAR from the only reason that the book series whose name shall not be spoken is absolutely terrible. More gifted writers than I have already gone into excruciating detail about that particular steaming pile of horse-apples.
