Perhaps, the position of the light in the scene onto her face probably added to the effect :P
 
Though at first I was going to have her eyes remain closed, but there was a glitch where the eyes would phase through the eyelids at the start of the render.
 
I tried delaying the render a bit but that didn’t seem to help, though come to think of it, there could have been other ways to overcome the problem.
 
So I just had her close her eyes and open them again.

She can’t see her own tail here, so tail-chasing doesn’t make sense.
 
The reason “scratching her side” doesn’t read well is because one would be expected to stand in one place and rub back and forth against the tree.

Trixie will catch that tail if it’s the last thing Trixie does!
