Pinkie Pie meets her match… in the form of delicious, irresistible snacks called PheNOMNOMenons! With Pinkie helpless to resist the tasty treats, she enlists help from her friend Twilight! Will Twilight be able to help her friend or will she succumb to her sweet tooth as well?
Although, a lot of things besides drugs can do that to the psyche. Gambling, games, especially MMOs, certain foods. The latter one is as digestible as drugs (and alcohol and smoking; I grouped them together without saying anything because I don’t really need to), but the former two are obviously different somehow. As long as the brain is always on, it’ll be impossible to prevent any of the symptoms that come with addiction. :3
You wanna try again, Bp?
The fans constantly saying horrible things about her and the writers doing NOTHING to put a stop to it is why I said what I said.
I would not be what I am if the fandom was nicer to Pinkie and the writers made things BETTER for her instead of WORSE.
Prime example of the sort of intelligent, insightful criticism the brony fandom is known for. Thank you, good sir.
Now I know: Poor collaboration and time constraints equate to retardation.
Yes, by poor collaboration I do mean I am blaming Faust. :)
Because she is so annoying.
all of my yes
Why the fuck is everyone so cruel to poor sweet Pinkie!?
Now make one where she gets killed and Sombra becomes captain of a ship…
Didn’t InMan directly reference Saved By The Bell’s caffeine pill episode? Or was I misreading something Silver Quill said? :P
…
I don’t know why I’m continually surprised by stuff like this, but I am.
What?
… OK.
They are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel now, aren’t they…
That’s at least partially a matter of interpretation; a lot of people felt that Inspiration Manifestation was about addiction and that is one way of looking at it, but it can also be about how when you do something nice for another person it’s important to think if they will like it and how they’ll react. Another interpretation is that being a supportive friend doesn’t mean always agreeing with what your friend is doing.
And perhaps this will be handled in a way that it can be interpreted as a story about addiction, or it could be interpreted as being about obssession, obesity, not understanding another person’s likes or feelings and seeing them as a problem, the frustrations of trying to inform somebody of a problem that they don’t see (this one could be especially interesting since Pinkie has been in that position), or something completely different.
Though I do wonder why it is that when there are multiple things you can see a story as being about so many people tend to gravitate toward the one(s) that relate to some of the more talked about current issues.
Yes, it will. <_<
Just because the premise makes the story about an unhealthy habit doesn’t mean it’s going to be an analogy for drugs
Story =! aleggory. :I
