She said “Yes I do. I’m flying up for an episode in two weeks, and sometimes I have to phone patch certain things…” I took that to mean that at the time of that video, she was planning to soon travel to Vancouver for just one episode, probably a special episode like a Season opener or finale.
Here it is.
It was in a video interview from earlier this year. I’ll see if I can dig it up.
Where did she say that? It’s a lot of work for her to travel to Canada when she has so many other jobs and a family in Los Angeles.
Actually, Tara did say in a more recent interview that she does most of her MLP recording with the cast in Vancouver now (later pickups notwithstanding).
That’s a fairly typical setup for TV cartoon group recording; if they need more actors simultaneously– like for the big musical numbers– they do it at Daniel Ingram’s studio, which is warehouse sized.
Someone else usually reads her lines for her in Vancouver, so the group has something to react off of.
That seems like a lot to me. Maybe that’s for the group songs with a choir?
