I’d be insulted too, if a crappy mask confused someone that I’ve spent ‘years’ with. Unless they were both deaf and blind, but then I would hope that touch and smell would help differentiate me from an imposter.

You know, I would actually love to have something like this in canon. Like they look at some photos and see that some ponies are actually changelings and nobody notices, the ponies who were there don’t even notice when they look at the photos. Shining can’t figure out which one’s real because he is cursed. We can only spot the difference because we’re not in the same room and not under the spell.
