They’re both recolors of Sparkler/Amethyst Star. As are about another half dozen ponies. They’re united in a kind of “guild” in my headcanon.

My standards are kind of low so I am alright with the same molds and eyeprints being used for the brushables, as long as they vary the plastic and paint colors. I’d LIKE for them to have more eye prints but I don’t plan to boycott the brushables if they don’t. After I style them, they look less like recolors, even if they still have a major case of Same Face.
Diamond Mint has been a BG pony since S1.
And the whole ‘recolors’ concept is dumb to begin with.
Well, I think they seem to be making alot of recolors of the mane six versions and selling them off as other “unique” ponies so they can increase the variety of ponies they’re selling, like how they would make things with the mane six’s molds in blind bags before.
This one just seems to be the rarity recolor of the lot.
Same here. It’s nice to see more non-mane six characters being made into brushables, though, even if they have some kind of gimmick.
Nope…but I wonder why they didn’t use a different eye print. Even just using Twilight’s would help make her different from Rarity, especially when Rarity is also in the same line…
