@Cyborg_pony
Old vampires would simply be weakened by sunlight, reduced to normal human strength and whatnot. Stuff like them literally being hurt and whatnot is a newer (though still quite well established) vampire trope, which has only recently been challenged with any frequency.
@BarryFromMars
It varies Sometimes just looking a light burns them so thick shades work, other times touch light turn them into a crispy critter I think it might have something to do with if they consumed fresh blood to remain strong. At least Vinyl isn’t sparkling.
Hm, So a vampire’s eyes would burn if they saw light? Noted. Does it depend on the type of vampire? Vinyl here looks as though she isn’t burning, otherwise.
“Oh my goodness, look at your eyes! I can understand why you wear those revolting goggles, but when was the last time you had proper sleep or used eye drops?”
“Oh hi, I’m Vinyl Scratch, and I’m the one who’s not judging you by your appearance.”
The colouring looks off in the first panel, with Vinyl. Despite the fact that it should all be in equal lighting, her front appears to be her normal colour, but around her flank and hind leg-area, it looks… somewhat grey-ish.
Rainbow Vlad!
@Keith Mowz
