I think it may be partly due to those crossovers having two audiences, and partly due to this story not getting as much attention as say cupcakes, and since it wasn’t technically a creepypasta it couldn’t ride on cupcakes like Sweet apple massacre or Cheerilee’s garden.

Why is it that crossovers like Fallout Equestria gather all the attention and oversaturate the internet with countless knockoffs and spinoffs while impressive original MLP stories like Story of the Blanks keep sliding into obscurity to the point of being nearly forgotten?
