It seems that its about time I explain the origin of the mane sixs kids (well the first one but whatever). And Ill be doing it with a comic, because I explain better through art instead of words. XD
Originally it was going to be a bigger comic, and not with chibis, but it would take too long to finish so I went with the short one. 8D
This is probably a very ridiculous concept but it was the best I could come up with to explain this whole magic children thing. XD Anyways, hope this comic was enough to clear the questions some of you had about my next generation origins. : )
In a world with common things such as magic and winged individuals litteraly walking on clouds, that is the simpler explaination - so most likely the best one. Nothing ridiculous.
Though I do want to say now that my interpretation of Rarijack is that they will be bickering and teasing each other all the way to the altar. Otherwise what’s the point of shipping them together if you lose what makes them fun?
WhiteDiamonds is pretty much the patron saint of Rarijack.
Sundown and Demdoodles are lesser saints of Rarijack. Still important, but not to the sheer prolific…ness? Prolificity? Argh, they draw a lot of high-quality Rarijack art too.
@YetAnotherBrony
Okay, but you’ll at least grant that if they didn’t mellow each other out, the relationship would go very sour, very fast?
And as for the “proper” thing, that’s part of the appeal for me of sunsetsparkle/sunlight. Not that Sunset’s necessarily “proper” (she turned against Celestia and spent a great deal of time as a fugitive from justice, among other things), but that it doesn’t matter. Once Twilight goes through that mirror, she doesn’t have to be a Princess any more, doesn’t have to look over her shoulder for the paparazzi, doesn’t have to worry about starting a giant scandal, doesn’t have to check over her shoulder for the paparazzi. Why Sunset? Well, they’re the only ones to share both worlds, they seemed to really understand and connect with each other in “Rainbow Rocks,” they have so much in common…
…And dating the human counterpart of somepony she knew in Equestria could make things really weird: even if they never found out, it could seriously effect how Twilight thinks of them, and then there’s a moment of conflation and Twilight kisses the wrong Rarity and from there it’s just a mess.
Some supporters of Twinkie say they would mellow each other out. Both Twilight and Pinkie would teach each other moderation.
Twilight spending endless hours in her library? Pinkie would kick the door open, let fresh air and sunlight in, and scold her for not eating a healthy breakfast of waffles (that she made herself)!
Pinkie causing a ruckus with her parties? Twilight would only have to gesture to their daughter Starchaser, and Pinkie would learn the meaning of “a time and place for everything”.
Though I will have to say that Pinkie could never, would never, be able to be “proper” enough to be with Twilight while she was doing Princess duties.
@alidan
Forming three pairs, though, with no drama or unrequited longing or love triangles or anything?
And I still think it’s entirely possible that at least one or two finds their love outside the group. For example, I can see Twilight being in love with Princess Celestia or Sunset Shimmer more easily than with anyone else in the Mane Six. (And I definitely can’t see Twilight and Pinkie as a couple. Twilight can’t keep up with Pinkie, and Pinkie can’t slow down for Twilight. Maybe they’d last long enough to move in together, but if it reached that point it’d be a train wreck, they’d drive each other crazy. Their lifestyles just aren’t compatible. Imagine trying to read a book, but someone’s plying trombone in the next room… for SIX HOURS. One of them would snap, and it’s probably Twi.)
@YetAnotherBrony
there are many different models that are used, studies pin gay people at about 3-7% and accepted common knowledge puts it at 10%, i personally see it on a scale of 1 being straight and 10 being gay, 2-9 are a shade of grey in the middle, and i personally believe the number of 100% gay people is the same as 100% straight, however with my belief it explains what straight is the majority, people fall somewhere on the curve, so that means if you can be with someone of the opposite sex, you do even if you wonder about the same if only because it makes life easier for you. if society put absolutely no negative connotations on being gay, how many would be ok with it?
@Scrounge
well, at least my understanding is when you are with someone they should be your “everything”
you know, best friend, lover, all that bs…
with my above statement taken into account, women already report higher bisexuality at around 50% because there isnt a negative condensation put on it, and even more (i think 80-90% polled) would consider it if it was a specific person
you drop them off in a world where women outnumber men, its either going to lead to male harems being the norm, or higher rates of lesbians
than you add what i said in reply to you, and its not hard to see the mane 6 being together.
though i would put it at fluttershy x rarity (they seem the closest) and applejack x rainbow (rivals turn lovers)
leaving out pinkie and twilight as she is the new one and pinkie is everyones friend,
@YetAnotherBrony
One could argue that an uneven gender ration might make bisexuality more likely. But actually, I wasn’t talking about the likelihood of them all liking mares. I was actually trying to say that now that I think about it, even if they did all like mares, what are the odds of them all pairing up with each other, rather than, say, Rarity dating Coco Pommel, or Pinkie finding a kindred spirit in Derpy, or Twilight sneaking through the mirror to get away from prying eyes and steal a moment alone with Sunset Shimmer without worrying about who sees her and what kind of scandal it could cause.
Which is why I sometimes headcanon that Applejack is the only lesbian in their group of 6 (and Rarity is technically bisexual; she likes the stallions, but her eyes wander over to AJ’s firm, toned body more than she cares to admit).
Depending on where you live, your “inner circle” of friends isn’t likely to have more than 2 or 3 L, G, B, or T people, unless your inner circle has like more than 30 people in it.
@somercet
…Yeah, I’ll grant having the Mane 6 wind up in 3 pairs kinda seems implausible.
Mind you, I wrote a thing with both Rarijack and Sweetiebloom in it, so I have no room to talk. (In my defense, though, that was specifically NOT a coincidence.)
I don’t see an “Involuntary Masturbation”(warning, dirty and potentially disturbing) tag on this.
What tag would that be?
Indeed!
Really? Maybe I should go look.
Though I do want to say now that my interpretation of Rarijack is that they will be bickering and teasing each other all the way to the altar. Otherwise what’s the point of shipping them together if you lose what makes them fun?

I know how that goes, I ship Rarijack largely in part due to Rarijack Daily.
Yes, it would.
I personally don’t ship Twinkie myself; I only got into the PokeyPie and FlashLight ships myself because of Kilala’s adorable-as-hell offspring OCs.

I’m bisexual, and I’m okay with f/f mane six shipping, but it gets completely twee when they end up in three pairs.
I’m curious though: why do you dislike it?
From the way it’s written up… nope. Top right panel.
Sure, why not?
Yes.
