I’ve been building my own gaming systems for a while. Without going into details, it is possible to build a perfectly serviceable gaming PC for much less money than that. Now, building your own isn’t for everyone, but–well, some enjoy it.

As a matter of fact there is no real difference between consoles and pc anymore. A lot of games now you install the game to the hard drive and the disc is pretty much only for installation, they both have ability to browse the internet, they both can use facebook and the list goes on. The only real difference between consoles and pc at this point is that they use different gui.
So in short, PC will become the dominant system and it will most likely be SteamOS.
That being said, I don’t care. I like having a controller and playing on a console.

Yes, and by that time, I’ll be an old person with a cane and growing bald, so as long as I can, I’ll play on console, then my kids will play on PC and their kids on whatever comes out.
