Yup. MLP doesn’t shy away from using less common mythological beasts. Like the Tatz(e)lwurm or Ahuizotl.

I was so glad they actually called it an orthros. Unlike Magic: the Gathering, which called it a “Two-Headed Cerberus.”
 
I know Theros technically wasn’t actually Greece and had no reason to have use the name “Orthros,” but to say that also means it didn’t have any particular reason to use “Cerberus,” either.
 
Rant aside, I find it vaguely amusing that a kids’ show uses the proper term and the more adult-ish card game doesn’t.
