I did the same with one of my fics. I didn’t call her kiki, but I tried to allude to it. The story was the EQD writing prompt for the Trade Ya episode. It talks about how Twilight obtained Smarty Pants, trading a book to a filly for it.
I was semi-following Kiki’s ife through Tara Strong’s messages, Tara put her heart into it and it broke so many peoples hearts when she passed away.
Since then, in memory of Kiki and in support of the massive amount of fund raising Tara did for her, many bronies have done things for Kiki. I put a little filly in one of my fanfics* called Kiki, who was living a happy life.
*I’ve never finished any of my fanfics, because I’m so disorganised :(.
