Either you dislike them or like them. I dislike them. Its mixed among fans.
My own two cents on that is, if DHX artists were given the prototype dolls and told “Make those into cartoon characters”, they did a fantastic job salvaging something passable from something stiff and uninspired. If they were given carte blanche in designing the characters, this ranks with Twilight’s coronation chariot and her crystaltreecastleplayset as being among their worst missteps. I suspect the truth lies closer to the former extreme than the latter, but that’s just a hunch.
What does high school have to do with anything? Im talking about character design.
