Yeah, but that’s classical mythology for you.
yeah, but you’d think someone would’ve actually thought
“but what if we actually kill him by accident?”
If the possibility of loki giving birth to a six legged horse actually happened, they should’ve thought of that as a warning that anything can happen.
Balder was a bit of a special case, wasn’t he?
you’d think people would get wise to that after some actually got to kill lord british (and before that balder) but nooo~
So nobody gets the idea to throw something at her head?
if you’re going to dress for the occasion, complete the outfit
You fucking heretic . She the God-Empress of mankind , the fuck she need a helmet for
Yeah, it’s probably the crown.
valid reasonings on storytelling purposes and function, but still weird compared to the amount of gear she’s wearing then leaving a very vulnerable area. unless the crown emits some sort of invisible barrier for the face
“For visual fiction full-face helmets can be problematic as they hide the faces of the character and as such, limit what emotions and features can be shown to the audience, as well as concealing his his/her identity and making them less relatable, ironically serving the opposite function of all other varieties of hats. For this reason, full head helmets are usually reserved for faceless enemies employed by the enemy to be killed with a minimum of audience empathy while heroes wear helmets which leave their faces exposed, or simply go helmetless into combat situations.”
Or because apparently “one of the first things that breaks down irreparably on a suit of Powered Armor is the air scrubber, so anyone wearing a helmet will be caught in the smell of a couple of thousand years worth of stale farts. and since officer and hero armour often is some kind of ancient relic…”
