Yeah, they do.
I know sarcasm is somewhat hard to translate across online mediums, but you can’t seriously believe I was being serious, can you? :P
But you are right. This is a phenomenon found anytime you post two characters together, not simply limited to Rarijack or any other ship. Shippers do like to insert context, do they not?
That is something that is NEVER going to happen. An image where Rarity is brutally murdering Applejack is NEVER going to have “Rarijack,” “lesbian” and “shipping” automatically added. Derpibooru’s tagging system never works that way. For an image like that, a fitting tag is “grimdark.”

That’s because when the uploader tagged the image “Rarijack,” the tags “lesbian” and “shipping” are automatically added. And the artist tagged it “Rarijack” in the source link. And if you want, I’m removing the shipping and lesbian tags.
And don’t tell me this doesn’t happen to images with a male and a female doing nothing shippy, because I’m sure that happens to them, too.
Shippers are often like that. They are a fickle, literal breed.
You know, they would watch a scene of two people glancing at each other for a second and saying “hi” and think “gasp! They must be in love!”
The artist has it tagged as Rarijack on their da page. So maybe they just meant it that way.
Well that’s the secret my dear friend. I could post a picture of Rarity brutally murdering Applejack, and it would still have the “lesbian”, “shipping” and “rarijack” tags all attached to it. At least initially.
