Coming soon to Discovery Family pfft. This one might need an explanation.
Last week Discovery channel aired a special called Eaten Alive. It was marketed that a guy wearing a snake crush proof suit was going to feed himself to an Anaconda. This sparked a lot of controversy, like PETA demanded for it to not be aired and there was worry on the snakes safety.
When it was aired, well this comic spoils what happened. Supposedly it was to bring awareness about the rainforest, but it sure didnt seem like it from the marketing before hand.

We all did.
Less controversy at least, as well a greater chance of actually being followed through with.
Because that’s boring. And only semi-appealing for vorephiles.
i liked discovery back when it had documentaries about animals and stuff, remember watching a show about the sabertooth when i was 4.
oh, people understand bait and switch just fine
what they don’t understand is a long running (formerly) reputable TV network resorting to such trickery.
And actually the core idea of guy being eaten by a snake would result in a very uninteresting footage (not counting all the fake drama stuff). Either insides of a snake or “fat” snake from outside. Boring.
This is so full of fail…
sounds like a net win to me :D
The show was disappointingly anticlimatic considering how many minutes of overdramatic scenes you had to sit through to finally get to the main point that didn’t happen.
Maybe there’ll be a redo in the future at best.
I don’t understand the argument that they’d kill the snake. All you’d have to do is spook it. Snakes are well known for regurgitating recent meals if they feel they’re in danger and need to get away quickly.
There’s so many wrongs with that shit, it’s not even funny:
– Was this supposed to be a porn movie about the weird vore fetish? On Discovery Family?
– “Crush proof suit” my ass. Nothing soft can be “crush proof”.
– Safety of that stupid stuntman was at great risk.
– What if that snake would had eaten the guy? Then they would had to get the guy out somehow. Result: a horriblr, horrible death for that snake.
– Even though the initial idea was pretty damn idiotic and horrible, they did disapoint hundreds of thousands sick weirdos and/or morbidly curious people by pussying out.
Finally, whoever approved of this special and anyone responsible for it’s creation should get fired.
