That I agree.
Gotta be honest, first time I read Getter Robo Go, the artstyle was putting me off and it took some time before it grew on me.
Nagai’s design on the first manga was a lot cleaner and it had that 70’s charm to it
look i really love new getter and it’s badassery but go nagai/early ken ishikawa faces are just special

i was thinking that sonata and aria would be shin liger and shin poseidon but it’s hard to add any aspect of sunset satan to the mix (those two mechs just feel like a throwaway add-on due to how little screen time they got…and how lazy the designs are (and ugly…shin poseidon is passable, shin liger is mad uglies)
