Probably, yes. But Lyra and Bon Bon are seen together briefly in Rainbow Rocks, and they do get pretty intimate.

Hey, I like Sunset as much as the next guy. Been a fan of her long before RR. But imho Trixie’s potential far exceeds Sunset’s. Hell if we’re bringing comics into this, it’s actually possible for her to become an Alicorn. Though she would have extra hard for it.
 
It’s not even a question of heterosexuality or whatnot, but this is a show about friendship not romance, it isn’t necessary. And they have already proven that they can’t do romance properly anyway.
 
I’ll take what I can get, regarding the holiday comic.

I get that Trixie has her fans, I even kinda get why, but I’m not one of them. She just doesn’t do it for me.
 
I know that generally only heterosexual ships have a chance of becoming canon, and even then it’s a slim one at best (I have my hopes for Soarindash, but I’m not putting money on it), I’m just saying I have trouble seeing how they’d handle the problem even in non-canon without hauling Sunset back to Equestria, something I don’t necessarily feel is right.
 
And there is no redeeming part of the Holiday Special.

That’s too bad, I’m a long time Trixie fan. You may not like her personality,but it’s one of the many things that makes her so popular. And she’s one of the few characters that can pull off being a a protagonist as well as an antagonist. Which is why I would give her the edge over Sunset. I mean she was the only redeeming part of the holiday comic for at least being consistent. And that’s saying something.
 
Sorry to break to you, but even if Sunset does comes back to Equestria,( which I hope it soon because I honestly don’t know how she can afford to continue staying in the human world especially after High School). Chances are, they won’t be truly together. They would just stay as friends. Flashlight has a better chance of happening.

I want to ship this so badly, but I can’t see it working out unless one of them moves to the other’s world. Sunset can’t even get back to Equestria without Twilight opening the portal for her, so finding time for each other and handling the challenges of a long-distance relationship could be obstacles they just can’t overcome. Which is sad, because I think they really are incredibly compatible.

I still don’t ship this, but darn if there aren’t artists who make it look great.
