Wait, so what happens afterwards with chestburster? It runs away, doesn’t it? Then what? Just… huddles into a ball and dies?

Facehugger hatches from egg. Facehugger attaches to face of animal. facehugger constricts throat with tail to ready throat for ‘embryo’. Facehugger slides chestburster embryo down throat. Time, chestburster grows. Animal wakes up, massive chest pains and then chestburster bursts from chest. Just in case you don’t know what the life cycle is.
Chestbursters are evolved facehuggers.
They evolve like Pokémon.
Facehugger’s don’t burst out of chests, Chestbursters do.
That’s not a ribcage: It’s a facehugger waiting to burst out of her chest.
