This was posted on Ida’s twitter account, and my guess is this is the title for the upcoming Sombra arc comic!
Really? I’d go with a cross between Ivan the Terrible and Shih Huang Ti (“All Crystal Empire history shall begin and end with me!”).

Brenda Hickey seems to be doing it, and I absolutely adore her stuff! True, it’s an oddly bright and cheery choice of artist for such a dark villain, but damn good art all the same.
Also, I’ve always been curious as to whether those black shapes on the side of his face were hair, or part of his crown, like what covers the bridge of his nose. Guess this picture makes it official. King’s rocking some sweet sideburns

Well, they are Hasbro affiliated, so that’s as canon as they come in my opinion haha
Technically there is no such thing as semi-canon unless the author specifically outlines a classification system for works within their fictional universe. (Like how Star Wars has G-canon, T-canon, etc).
Hasbro has not revealed their inner plans beyond saying that the comics are canon. And while some writers have differing opinions, what they think doesn’t matter. Only Hasbro has the authority to dictate canon and nothing Andy Price, Ted Anderson or some nerds say will change that.
More like Semi-canon. Again, in Andy’s words, canon until the show says otherwise
Only Cook/Price seem to be really on about it being canon.
There’s more than one writer and different comics, some say it’s canon, others don’t. Just basing what I’ve heard from them when we interviewed them on our podcast
I remember reading in the IDW thread in the forums that Ted Anderson said that the comics are not canon.
As the writers have said themselves, it’s considered canon until the show says otherwise.
As so should anyone who cares.
Especially since they theoretically wouldn’t be able to tell his story without telling part of the Crystal Empire’s story as well.
I just ignore them and invalidate any argument that uses the comics as indisputable proof of something being true/false.
Just do what allot of people do, if they don’t like it, convince yourself it isn’t canon and move on with your life haha
I’m more concerned about the quality of the writing.
The April 2015 solicts are due imminently (today or tomorrow), so this is likely all teasing the limited series that they will plug then, along with the regular books due that month.
