to be fair, in the REAL world, you CAN’T hypnotize someone unless they WILLINGLY cooperate
Pretty sure Disney!Kaa barely has the juice for anything but short-term hypnosis anyway. Spend too much time playing with your food, and something else (i.e. Shere Khan) pads up for a free buffet.

Perhaps he needs to study psychology and learn how to subject his prey to long-term brainwashing/mindbreaking after he catches and initially hypnoes them?

That is true. Kaa’s hypnosis skills do need work.
Well, what Kaa could do is do his standard thing with the first ponies he encounters. But then after he’s no longer hungry, he hypnotizes the remaining ponies into becoming gluttons via post-hypnotic suggestion. By the time he returns, many ponies are morbidly obese.
I notice Disney!Kaa has to really work at lulling single victims; complicated instructions might exhaust him or snap the sucker out of it. Let’s not even touch “ambushing” pones in a bare suburban tree.
It would probably take a lot longer and more effort to fatten his victims up then it would to just hunt for his own food.
Why on Earth would a carnivore want thin ponies? A few obese ponies are way more filling than several thin ones. It’s not like his jaws can’t expand.

Me, I dig creepiness, mindfuckery and the combination of the latter with molestation.
