oh well, nothing I can about that ^^U, If you don’t like “comedic violence as a response to completely innocent behavior” or ““offenders” almost always taking the beating like little bitches instead of standing up for themselves.” you better use the filters because there will be a lot more of that ^^.

specially comedic violence, there will be a lot of that ^^

The implication is that the beating is vicious and ferocious, far more than what they thought the beater is/was capable of. Also, as the ‘element of kindness’, the idea that she wouldn’t be capable of such a thing likely DID enter Rainbow’s head.

And ‘innocence’ is as perceivable as what is ‘acceptable’. Asking a question like that brings up the innocence of that very question. While one can assume that maybe she’s innocently ASKING, her belief in what Discord was doing (feeling Fluttershy up) makes the line of innocent or lewd, far less blurred.

Some things, in society, are just not GENERALLY acceptable, and people can tell when those are being played off of in jest. It’s not like this art was made under the assumption people would question if Rainbow Dash DESERVED such a reaction; it was made for a quick laugh.

As an analyst yourself, you know as well as I do, that this was not made for us, or our kind.

I was replying to the words “have it coming”, which sound more about right than “what can happen.”
My problem is that I’m sick of comedic violence as a response to completely innocent behavior, because this is the reaction that’s aimed for: “Can’t say s/he didn’t have it coming.” It’s one way of implying that certain behavior is socially unacceptable without providing reasons why that’s so.
And the worst part is the “offenders” almost always taking the beating like little bitches instead of standing up for themselves.

If we were a society capable of making decisions solely based on logic rather than ones in which emotion were a factor, well, our prisons would be a lot more empty.

It’s not a matter of “what is acceptable”, but “what can happen”.

OH, don’t misunderstand me, I don’t think it’s a acceptable response either(..come on bro, it’s a comic XD) if an stranger asked me that I would probably tell him to get lost or ignore him/her, if it where a friend I’ll probably joke about it.

Where I’m going is: each person(or/and pony) is different and therefore will react different, whether or not that reaction is acceptable.

@mlpfan
I don’t see where you are going with this. Whether or not either of such persons actually deck me in the schnoz, it wouldn’t determine it to be an acceptable response.
I can understand if a nun would imply it to be a stupid question to ask her, or question my powers of observation. That’s the only difference between a nun or a stranger I can think of, so I don’t know why you’re bringing up nuns.

I can only imagine the last with Celestia, where she’ll sentence Rainbow Dash to Tartarus forever if Rainbow says something pervertedly during conversation.
