If dragons can be that heatproof, I bet you anything there’s some spell or concoction that can outdo them and failing that, a material that can resist them on it’s own.
Perhaps I’m putting too much thought into this.
The issue is the heat-proof part, though. Spike melted a lock in less than ten seconds, and it would probably stand that other, older/larger dragons could do so if not better. Even if their mouths are clasped shut, fire can probably get through between teeth, and once the flames are about, all bets are off
Maybe if you stuck a muzzle on one, bound their sharper limbs, heat-proof the bars, suspend it above the ground…..
Can a dungeon hold him? He can melt chains and locks pretty quickly, claw and chew through stone…
Are there any jails that can hold an Equestrian Dragon?
