Pommel:Bleh bleh bleh
Well, they sure weren’t good TV stars.
Perhaps.
guess they too wanted to be movie stars, eh?
I hear some Double Dragon vibe in that song.
Double Dragon 2 - Stage 2
well.. he ain’t the only one with his own album
Well, Nick’s got charm.
Adam’s got… an album?
..yup. Movies like that one are still a thing alright.
in some ways, he seems almost similar to Nicolas Cage, in many other ways, nothing quite like him.
WELL…
“Really Bad” describes him pretty well!
I kind of saw it as a good comic book story for a superhero we haven’t seen before, which seemed like a gimmick at first, but turned out quite decent.
oh yeah, I remember now that whole sphiel about Hancock’s wife and her having a tantrum, as well as the rushed explanation of his powers origins and so on.. Can’t say you don’t have a point there, the movie did get extremely convoluted and complicated all too fast.
It was too inconsistent. One half is about Drunk Superman, the second half is about he stood next to this one chick and lost his memory. It got kind of boring, but the first part remains entertaining. :T
well.. that one still isn’t nearly as bad of a direction change. At least it does stay well within the tone of the film, even if it does exaggerate the first half.
do people hate the Hancock movie? I thought it was pretty good myself.
I’d imagine Hancock experienced a similar situation. :T
probably. Productions can go crazy haywire like that, but who knows, maybe there wasn’t much to it because changing from scopes of dramatic story telling to shitting deer seems, unreal..
like, you have to go really bad to make that kind of a change in script and it’s the likes of which has never been seen or done before, if even at all in movie making history.
Honestly, I kinda wish we got to see the original, intended script’s movie, because apparently the lead writer’s draft got edited HEAVILY once Sandler was brought into the movie’s creation.
Considering how the second half seems nothing like the sort of thing Sandler would make, I’d like to assume that was a relic of the original.
the thing about that is…
I kind of liked eight crazy nights at freddies..
like, I’m not saying it’s an excellent movie, come on, shitting deers and all weren’t funny even at the time, but the story from the second half I kind of liked. I don’t love the movie, but I don’t hate it either, because the second half to the end was at least trying to be more heart touching and had a better concept of connection to the first half of the movie, something I feel a lot of Hollywood mass produced movies miss by a mile and most of the time, feel very convoluted and hard to impres.
or maybe that’s just my perception from 12 years ago talking.
movie still has problems, like a whole hundred, thousand, billion, INFINITY other problems, but it had some good things in it too for those like me who don’t necessarily hate the movie, but find them at least somewhat tolerable. It doesn’t mean I’d watch the movie again, Jesus Christ NO, but I don’t feel like the movie destroyed me for watching it once.
Yeah, I can see that.
Well, a role where he’s not playing HIMSELF, might be a reason for why it turned out so well. This wasn’t no ‘Eight Crazy Nights’-syndrome…
Wow, I had no idea that was even him. Sandler has always been a profoundly disappointing actor; he has real ability and is capable of being funny as hell, but he’s spent almost his entire career chasing the cheap lazy buck and being utterly horrid.
