I think its because a large amount of Background Ponies don’t have a lot of personality (other than just fanon material), so shipping them with varies main and secondary characters is pretty appropriate and a good passing excuse that makes it work out better.
Others though, (ShiningChrysalis, TwiLestia, Etc) to me personally are treated as if an alternate universe.
I don’t see it that often on DA, though I don’t actively look for ShadTwi personally.
I wasn’t talking about just crossover ’shippings, but even some in-universe character ‘shippings can be equally odd to, I say as much as the crossover ones can be.
And yeah I don’t understand Spiderman X Twilight, but I will admit some of the artwork for it is not bad.
Its mostly exclusive on DeviantArt within a small number of groups. I’m not sure how popular it really is, but its apparently a thing.
Yeah I understand what you mean. I still find most cross shipping weird and…overrated-ly dumb (SpiderTwi, all because of a fanfic).
I didn’t even know ShadowXTwi’ was a “popular” ’shipping. SonicXPony crossover pairings seem hated by most bronies. (Especially on this site.)
But personally, I think almost every popular fan-‘shipping is quite random, and some are quite odd to. (Heck, I’ve seen Applejack paired with her family members.)
Well, I was refering to how it wasn’t finished being debugged. (Sega really needs better bug-testing teams.) Granted, “Shadow” was much more finished then the notorious Sonic2006 game was. (Heck that game was so unfinished, the instruction manual had features NOT even in the final game.)
Shadow the Hedgehog was quite a finished game, all things considered. They failed to get two vocal tracks onboard, but that’s about it.
Unless I missed something big.
If not all bronies are “furries,” then not all Sonic-fans are “furries.” (I’m a Sonic-fan, and brony, but I never really been in the furry fandom, though I do like anthro’ characters. Never much liked the term “furry” though.)
Also, bashing/demonizing one fandom doesn’t really make our’s look any better.
(Nor are the “cloppers” any better then the “furverts.” No offense.)
@Ilsor
Well, there were other reasons some didn’t like the Shadow game, some felt they were trying to make the Sonic series to dark/edgy. (Ironically, now some are complaining that the series is getting to lighter/silly/humorous like with the “Sonic Boom” TV show.) Or the fact it was kinda unfinished.
I was never a huge Shadow fan, but admittedly I have nothing against him. (I find his haters more annoying then he is honestly.) Still, I actually liked the “Shadow” game dispite it’s flaws, and it had some interesting gameplay gimmicks. (Like the alternate level/story paths.) Some of the weapons like signposts were quite amusing to, and I liked the motorcycle.
♪ Everyone’s saying I’m getting down to low
Everyone’s saying…_you just gotta let it go_♪
As did I, once I sat down and played the game.
Nonsense.
I actually liked the latter.
after that, I will make my day seeing tokyo ghoul.
