Less risky than just sitting back and letting the Sith draft him, I’d think. Or is a twenty-foot flame-belching beast with a double-bladed lightsaber something you’d be eager to meet?

Uhm, wouldn’t Spike bee too risky if he is trained as a jedi? Given his dragon nature of greed and possessiveness, not to forget his crush on Rarity. He would be really susceptible to the dark side

I thought that the lightsaber color crystals were changed personally, because Mace Windu actually got his purple crystal from his home tribe. It was a prized purple gem that he got awarded with, and he put it in his lightsaber as a kind of reminder.

A Lightsaber Crystal can be in any variety of color besides the traditional Blue of a Jedi Guardian (specializing in Lightsaber Combat) or Green of a Jedi Consular (specializing in Force Abilities and negotiation), there’s the Yellow and Orange of the Jedi Sentinels (Black Ops seeking to hunt down Dark side elements, rarely seen in the Temple and more rarely spoken of), along with the Purple of middle path walkers (basically Force-Sensates that regularly use both sides of the force in-conjunction, most of them specialize in using Form VII Vapaad of Lightsaber Combat), there’s also White and Black lightsabers out there.

I thought only Mace Windu was allowed to have a purple lightsaber.
