I hear Ultra/Konami’s TMNT game (based off the NES title) is nearly impossible to beat on PC. Makes the NES one seem easier.
Though, the PC port of “Sonic CD” wasn’t bad. (Which was the version used for the GameCube “Sonic Gems Collection” version.) Though, that came out much later.
It’s actually on Virtual Console now too. As well as, Duck Hunt, and Hogan’s Ally.
One thing comes to mind: Wild Gunman got a small spotlight one year before Bttf Day with its inclusion in Duck Hunt’s moveset. :3
You deserve a million waifus for that comment.
COMMENCE FIRING THE WAIFU CANNON!!!!!
To be fair, the NES’s graphics & gameplay quality were alot better then Atari’s. So in a way it had alot of technical advancement. Not to mention things like the Zapper were impressive for their day too.
Um, yes, I was. 1985, matter of fact.
Not to mention the online authentication that you have to submit to. At least with physical console games, I don’t have to worry about them being taken from me if the servers decide to fuck my authentication over.
nobody wants that awful complicated freedom, after all.
this does not appear to be a valid playstastion game please send money to sony right away
Fair enough.
To be honest, I was never really to into those kinda games. When it comes to RPGs, I’m more into old-school JRPGs.
Considering the prize and that it’s just a laptop, but that’s not too shabby. Better than I expected, actually.
Still, I don’t play on PC exclusively and also have consoles. I never got the PC vs. consoles bullshit and always thought that it’s a joke (well, it’s not like I was wrong, but it’s a rather unintentional one).
An issue I have with modern consoles is that lots of games they have are also on PC and often better there. My PS3 feels a bit obsolete, not because of the PS4, but because many games that I have/had for it (like Bioshock, Far Cry 3 or Saints Row 4), I can play on PC, now that I have one that can run them (and with the constant sales, it’s not hard to get them for low money, greatly avoiding the problem with wasting money by buying something double). That’s a reason why the only current gen console I have is a Wii U.
But…PC is also the only real place you can play RTS/tactical RPGs…those are what I mostly play, anyway…
I’m also the opposite when it comes to a controller, hate them…the keyboard just feels better, personally.
@EddersCPFC
If you put some work into it you can actually get a decent rig that won’t even break 1000$ that can run modern games perfectly, not on max mind you but good enough.
Hell, I’m still using my comp that’s been outdated for nearly 12 years now…still plays Skyrim just fine.
@PwnyPony
Sadly why I wait until sales now…I know it doesn’t really doesn’t support the developers as much as it should, but damned if they’re not only charging tooth and nail…but I’m broke and unemployed…this is the only way I can buy a game; Humble Bundle, or whatever alternative, or one of those insane Steam Sales.
I used to have a huge pile of PS1 and PS2 games multiple stacks hitting the roof of my house.
My mother sold them all though.
Gaming was much cheaper back then but prices blew up hugely around early PS3 days.
What would have been a £20 game became a £40 £50 in what felt like was over night.
I also have a good amount of PS3/360 games about maybe 50+ PS3 games and about 10 360 games. maybe £2000+
I may have spent £200+ on 125+ games on steam.
Though that is a mix of games from old and new with sales and package deals.
I forget how ridiculously expensive video games are in some countries… I’ll never complain about how they raised the prices to $60 again…
I’d estimate that, including the consoles themselves (US$800 each), that I own (at the price of purchase) US$5000 worth of console gaming.
“I’m not going to spend about £500 on a gaming PC only for it to become outdated in a few months.”
Oh no, I must have missed the upgrade deadline by about half a decade on my £400 PC.
I stopped playing a lot of games a few years ago. I was addicted, what else can I say except I would’ve also become bankrupt if I kept on with it? I’m not against the very idea of video-games or computer games, but I was way too into it.
I agree that console gaming is ridiculously expensive, but please don’t post walls of pics.
I hope you enjoy it, I mean that sincerely. I personally don’t see much appeal in it, but hey: it’s your money, thus you can spend it however you please.
For me, I want to get an Xbone so that I can play the Master Chief collection (I love me some Halo), and hold out hope for a sequel to my favouritist Halo ever: Halo Wars
Yeah sure whatever, about me caring to reply is the same for you, so it works both ways ;) Anyway, I’m going to buy the The Order:1886 soon because I know it will delight you so much!
No, I’ll respond with: If you don’t care, then why bother comment? Commenting in-and-of-itself shows that you care on some level. Also: fallacy of relative privation much?
