I remember I drew a really funny idea of crossover and thought “oh, I am so smart, such a good idea”. “Does it count as original art? Can I protect my awesome idea?” Then there was realization that its just two copyrighted ideas thrown together. Putting a watermark felt wrong. But I didn’t want somebody to download the pic a post it somewhere else without giving a source, which meant the world won’t know that I am the one who was this smart.
If this is the reason you have the watermark, I understand you. If not, I am not severely against it. Just saying. Back then we didn’t have booru websites, ponies, bronies, GTA4 and google image search.
