This is a cover the the fan fiction The Ninth Fantasy: Gaia.
This drawing, this freaking drawing… This took MONTHS to complete! This was commissioned by a family member back before Thanksgiving! Each character has a minimum of two hours of tedious work put into them. I am however in LOVE with the final result. The characters, coloring, and background are some of my best work and I am happy to be the one to give some visuals to a fantastic fan-fic as well.

Ain’t that the truth.
Admittedly, Amarant suffers from that as well. He gets some character development but it’s too little to make a difference. Pity, since him and Freya are among my favorites.
But the whole blandness in FFIX would be moot if it were removed in the fanfic.
Let me know how that goes, whoever’s reading this and the fanfic. I don’t do fanfics.
I actually forgot he was a character in the game until just now.
Honestly, I think the worst part of Final Fantasy IX is that Freya completely drops from the plot after Cleyra gets nuked.

Nice strawman there.
I’m just saying that Vivi or Steiner are much more interesting characters than him, who drops into the plot so suddenly and so late that it feels like he’s there just to fill the “angsty loner” quota.
