It’s not just the Bible. Ever heard of Yamato-no-Orochi? Or the Hydra, or the many other classical mythological references? Or many, many other religions in which the crawling, venomous creatures are treated with distrust?

Which was clearly because she was just supposed to be a palette swap of Dash, so we could understand how she was projecting herself. The fact that she then turned out to be real just made it weird.
