Agreed on most counts. And seriously, the comic-shop venue serves as ample excuse for, say, a Mane-iac Unleashed Upon Equestria Proper(C) arc. I’m sure a starting point like that could be borked, but you’d have to work at it. Ah, and put my vote in for Yorkie!Mina.

I think a Spike and Mina team up could be fun. MLP has always been heavy on the female to male character ratio anyway, so Spike was bound to have girly buddies for most part. Besides, chicks dig comics.

I figure Mina & IDW!Spike have more of a Comic Fandrake Pal-hood(C) than anything. She seemed at least as jazzed about Luna, albeit in a celeb-fangirl fashion, so I’m tempted to lurk in that crackship’s cargo hold.
