I don’t doubt Soarin is a good friend. It’s just I kinda get why people don’t like the Wonderbolts. And I feel Soarin bounces off Spitfire better since they’re probably childhood friends and stuff.
 
I responded to a 3 year old comment because it was so outlandish.
 
I just don’t like people saying Soarin gets abused by Spitfire and/or Rainbow just because they are as you put it, assholes.
 
Honestly, I think the “assholerly” of RD is meant to keep her grounded. It’s meant to make her the most relatable. Like how Squidward is the most relatable Spongebob character.
 
I only called it Stockholm Syndrome as it just shows Rainbow getting used to getting a military hazing that she did not deserve. Fact is, Rainbow is almost 99% always in the wrong and if she isn’t the writing makes it seem like she is. I wouldn’t say that makes her an asshole though.

ummmmm you are the ‘‘delusional one’’ as you dont seem to know what stockholm syndrome is…..  
you do realize that Dash in general is an asshole…… and just because someone is an asshole doesnt mean that they are a bad person. Dash is a nice, caring asshole.  
Soarin has literally gone above and beyond to help and support Dash whilst in the Wonderbolts, they are fantastic friends. and heck their issue together in FF36 is one of the best issues of all time because o how well they work with eachother.

She wants someone who will treat her right not be cruel to her just because she can be bitchy sometimes. I used to think Soarin was that stallion then I got older and found he really isn’t.

yeeeeeeeaaaaah no… they didnt make Dash relive ‘‘ptsd’’ when they did not know about it at all. not once did Dash tell them not to and that it stems from foalhood teasing. and plus by the end of the episode she realizes that she herself is an asshole, but that its okay because she found her people.

So you don’t call “making a young mare relive her PTSD from school days”, refusing to go with a different nickname, and punishing her when all she wanted was some legitimate approval” abuse? Soarin may not have done as much as Spitfire but he still participated and didn’t tell Rainbow that all new recruits get hazed or heck, a heartwarming scene where he stands up to Spitfire and tells her why Rainbow has PTSD from flunking Flight School on account of the bullying she went through? Just because it wasn’t mentioned as bullying doesn’t mean it wasn’t.And that’s my two cents.
 
Also Angel isn’t so much evil as a jerk for the same reasons Iron Will is: He just wants Fluttershy to be assertive and stand up for herself. Notice how every appearance since S4, he’s been pretty nice?

Now that’s not very nice. Besides, he mellowed out after Flutterbitch returns aka: Putting Your Hoof Down. I could very well say that about Soarin given his treatment of Rainbow Dash in Newbie Dash. And don’t give me this “He was just following Spitfire’s lead”. Plus he’s kind of in the way. And yes, I do realize I am replying to a two year old comment.
