I’ve read speculation about the mark-removal itself stripping away most of a given pone’s talent/specialties (hence why Dash, fr’instance, was reduced to low-altitude cruising), and the Equal(C) mark itself activating whenever someone struggles to tap whatever’s left. Kinda doubt Glimmer actually worked this process out with foals or foaling in mind, though.
