I don’t think it’d be anticlimactic so much as it would be a missed opportunity, but that’s just being (overly?) semantic.
I thought that was only for time travel.
Besides, having two Twilights on opposing sides and not having a Mirror Match? Anticlimactic.

If Hasbro really sees EQG as a line to keep pushing, I can see doing anything as to separate the need to introduce any scenes in Equestria in any future movies, with Human Twi staying with the rest of SS+Humane 6 at CHS as to otherwise complete the set. Maybe only having SS and pony Twi having extended discussions via the books.
I have a theory Pony-to-Human Twilight won’t appear in the human world this movie, because Sunset warns her and there could be catastrophic consequences if the doubles meet. :P
Very interesting, this next equestria girls movie could be very interesting!
We’re basing the assuming that this Twi is with Shadowbolts (the “S” on her belt), and it would make much more sense that human Twi was associated with that school (as she doesn’t go to CHS). It is very hard to see a situation where pony Twilight comes and joins a rival team to her friends (without major villain manipulation).
We actually don’t have any full confirmation that pony-to-human Twi appears in the next film, outside of the fact someone in the toy market is pushing the Twi-Flash relationship hard.
Is there anything official that says if pony princess Twilight Sparkle will be in this next equestria girls movie?

I like the possible backstory that until pony Twi, human Twi’s story never had her making friends and hence would have never had the same trials and tribulations that pony Twi had in becoming an alicorn.
This is only toy packaging, of course, so it’s far from panic time ,but still… sigh Hasbrooooo!
