If it’s good enough for Judas Priest, it’s good enough for me. (Also, a mistake like that, which is bound to crop up again and again, will stop being a mistake sometime. My guess is that has already happened in this case.)

Why do so many people use “another thing coming”? It just doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. As ungrammatical as it is, “another think coming” at least makes sense and makes an explicit connection to the initial clause.

“If you think we would let you get anywhere NEAR our little Spikey, you’ve got another thing comming.”
 
“Miss, please. You may think this ‘thing’ is cute, but it is a dangerous dragon and must be handled as such.”
 
“‘HE’ is not a ‘monster’ to be ‘handled’. He is our friend that you are threatening to foalnap. Now if you don’t leave us in peace we will be forced to take action!”
