I don’t know who this Rudell guy is, but he sounds like a friggin’ killjoy.
At any rate, Sunset was teleporting around no problem in her pony form, which been a technique used only by high level unicorns and alicorns so far. She also knew the fireball magic and brainwashing spell before she ever became a demoness. Her time as a human hasn’t affected her magic.
I wish to see more of her in pony form. Not that there is anything wrong with her human form, it’s awesome. But we haven’t seen her as a pony since that brief segment at the beginning of the first movie.
Sunset’s magic is one of the reasons I’d like to see her do a guest spot in FiM.
According to what we’ve heard Sunset is supposed to be a magician on par with early-series Twilight, but because she’s living a hornless life in the EQG world, we probably wont get the chance to see Sunset do much magic on her own. (According to Ishi Rudell, the whole pheonix-form thing at the end of Sunset’s video was just a visual metaphor, and shouldn’t be considered canon).
