it’s not sarcasm, for once. I thought drawponies deliberately didn’t get paid so they could trace w/out getting in trouble, because it’s f*ckin obvious they’re copying show poses that’s the point.
I don’t… but I’ve decided to draw just for fun. My number of followers does not concern me, especially since that number is pretty small. Honestly, how did people not recognize these pictures from the show until just now?
Almost every artist (at least in the MLP fanbase) with any kind of following gets money off it somehow.

The latter might be true of this guy, but holy hell was he not up-front.
Oh, and those vector comic-makers aren’t being paid either, so yeah.
It’s a traced drawing, so it isn’t going to be perfect.
But…who in the actual group authorized that to be sold. I’ve seen plenty of pieces of clothing and other things like that before. Go to your local Sam Goody or Hot Topic and look in the clothes section.

ye selling this stuff is bad but these guys are acting like him tracing was one of the biggest secrets of the decade.
Yeah… Like, so many of the poses are the sort of remarkable poses that end up vectored minutes after the episode ends or turn up in reaction images and memes all over the place.
I thought he used the comics as filler between his actual work, and there’s plenty of that that’s clearly “his”.
Without the whole selling part of it I’d’ve considered this the greatest “no duh?” non-issue of the month; making money off traces, though, yeah…
Well, it’s a team centered around the artist known as Drawponies. It just so happens that the whole team uses the account. I can actually see someone on the team actually monetizing the art.
Horse News is safe. Ish. In that particular aspect, at least. The little text I imagine is just to mess with people. Chan humour of some kind, I guess.

If it’s a team then I guess one of them fucked up pretty bad. And also confused as to why they’d be a team and not separate artists… Drawponies “actual art” art is pretty decent.

Apparently, he was, but I don’t know if it was entirely Drawponies doing it as apparently Drawponies is a group of people working with the artist.
I kind of thought everyone knew that a chunk of his comic stuff was traced… I mean, there’s an obvious style difference between those and what he does draw.
I didn’t know he was selling the former, though.
Most of His comics, yes. But what about the rest of his work?
