{ two shooting stars fly through the sky } Applejack: “That’s true! Busy as everypony’s lives are getting these days, chances are pretty slim we’ll be this lucky next time ’round.”
@octopus03
Now I admit that I’ve been guilty of posting medium/large direct links to gifs in threads before,
which can cause an unwanted ruckus for some peoples’ connections,
but its just plain difficult to look at this large comic,
pasted huge at the bottom of a thread like this.
You should probably just have offered up a direct link to the story like so:
Well I think u guyz R ready for the truth, i just hope U can forgive meh. ):
Well being callie sparks young filly artist i myself knew young applejack, sweet filly, little bit country, im more of southern filly if i do say so myself, and i also knew applejack’s wonderful parents too, Melrose & Tangelo they were always so kind sigh they didn’t deserve what they got. one day after school i was watching applejack and rarity have yet another petty little fight, but this was serious rarity ran off in to the everfree forest across a very unstable bridge and made it across… the first time she was very upset with herself , i could tell she was also disapointed she treated her friend that horrid way she was on her way to apologize when the brige snapped SNAP! then as tangelo tried to save her the rope melrose held slipped away, rarity was saved by applejack but i’ll never forget the day they just slipped away all i heard was the sickening noise of rarity crying sorry sorry sorry im so sorry applejack.
@Nukechaser
It wasn’t said on the actual show so despite the people who write the show explicitly saying it’s the case when asked, it’s not true, lalala, can’t hear you, tinfoil hat, lalala. [/sarcasm]
@Jarkes
Can you imagine Sweet Apple Acres without Granny Smith?
I mean granted, they probably won’t kill off Granny Smith, since it’d be a little dark, but it’s pretty well implied that she’s nearing the end of her days and they all know that it’s coming. And after that it will just be Applejack and Big Mac taking care of Applebloom.

I mean, you can deny it all you want, but that is a pretty big hint.
oh.
@Ksardes
canon how? when on the show was it said?

Maybe they’ll address it in the movie.
@Jarkes
I took the conversation as helping to make the whole ‘shooting stars = parents are dead’ thing more obvious.
…Good god, I can’t believe I hadn’t even thought of that after all this time.
Applejack cries on the inside. Confirmed!
(Applejack is still the most tragic pony and I want to wrap her in a blanket until the hurt goes away I do.)
We’re all aware, yo, some are just in denial.
Considering that one of the writers outright said that the shooting stars were meant to symbolize her parents…
shhhhhh, let the boy dream
It’s already canon
