Here we go again. “It’s fiction, anything can work!” argument. Works for anyone who doesn’t think I guess. Now allow me to introduce you to the following term:
 
Worldbuilding. The process of creating a setting with certain rules, history and characters. It takes a considerable effort to create a world with all the silly things you want without making it completely unbelievable. To make your viewer/reader look at it and say “well, that makes sense within the universe”
 
Continuity, development, taking bits from the real world elements or better yet seamlessly mixing up real and fictional things without contradicting each other too much, that’s what makes a fine and engaging universe. Like we don’t know how ponies’ vocal cords in Equestria work. Otherwise we get a syndrom of “It’s magic I ain’t gotta explain shit” which is a sign of either poor or low-effort writing.

Sorry, my inner engineer couldn’t take it so I decided to comment on this.
 
That dragon is well over 20 tons. His wing membrane is supposed to carry all that weight in the sky which means that it can probably eat 7.62 minigun fire without taking any damage due to sheer thickness and durability.
 
And now changeling tossed at some poor velocity can punch a hole in it? And even go right through? Urgh, now you are also insulting physics, Cook <_<
