Starsong’s backstory was never explained in the show, and a term “flutterpony” was never used in G3 and G3.5 (resorting to pegasus ponies and breezies for those capable of flight).
But she does strike a resemblance to flutterponies, doesn’t she. It’s almost like it’s a subtle nod to them from the authors.
