Have we even seen anyone age in this show? It’s been four and a half years since the pilot aired, but how much time has passed in Equestria?
This is wrong. It’s three years and one month. See my comment under this.
Up until the Grand Gallopping Gala that we’ve seen in “Make New Friends but Keep Discord”, 3 years and 1 month have passed in Equestria since Twilight came to Ponyville.
For some strange reason many in the fandom say that it’s just one year against every sense and what the canon of the episodes tells us, but it is in fact 3 years and 1 month.
Which means Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle are about ~10 years old now.
Kinda scary how the time passed. Soon they will get into puberty, if they are not already in it, and slowly grow up.
Even if four and a half years had passed in the show, that’s nothing. In Downton Abbey, TWELVE YEARS have passed in the show’s timeline and aside from the kids born during the story, nobody has aged a day.
