Ya didn’t have to repost your comment and make it more friendship friendly. I have the same hatred for both videos. I love MLP FIM, but what I hate about it is that most of the time it is very strict on the dark tension standpoint. Which is why I watch The Walking Dead more because their are almost no limits. But that’s not what I’m trying to say. If the show didn’t have its dark moments like King Sombra or the siren battle from Rainbow Rocks, this would be your average modern day cartoon where everything is sunshine and rainbow like the previous generation of MLP. Which is no excuse why we have crappy fan animations like this, Friendship is Witchcraft, or Dusks Dawn where its nothing but waving keys in front of a toddlers face for 1 hour which will result in the kid falcon punching you in your weak spot. Equestria Girls isn’t as stupid as those three fan animations. And that concludes this week’s lesson on both right and wrong.

Retranslation: Wubcake recently took down her Rainbow Rock 1 Shot Parody videos. With all honesty, I’ve always hated it because it was simply unfunny. At least she and Jennabun tried to be funny unlike Double Rainboom.

The first season was good. Can’t really defend the rest of them since what I saw and heard is pretty awful. The fandom isn’t too bad as long as you’re on the right side.

You clearly have not watched William Country. It makes even Dusk’s dawn look good.

This was one of the worst fananimations I had ever seen. Lazy animation, unlikable characters, things happening randomly, and its just simply unfunny. Wubcake’s Rainbow Rocks 1 Shot Parody was a masterpiece compared to this god damn shit.

That actually explains a lot of why this vid got so much hate. Those awkward pauses pretty thoroughly broke the dialog (for me at least).

Why has no-one mentioned how the potion, which Twilight says she has no idea what it will do, before explaining what it will do, supposedly boosts a Pony’s cutie mark talent and yet somehow gives Pinkie Pie the powers to cross dimensions?  
I thought Pinkie’s Talent was Parties?

Nope, it just trims down the length of some scenes making it about 8 minutes shorter, but everything that is wrong with it is still there.

And regarding the length, in Rich’s defense, the school project he made it for had a minimum length of thirty minutes.

I still enjoyed it greatly.

A lot of the problem with the episode is that the pacing was terrible. There’d be pauses on some things for way too long, and it’s a little uncomfortable to sit through. It’s really uncomfortable and hard to keep interested when it keeps happening.
 
The show-length edit flows much better.

It’s good to keep it in the limelight somewhat, as it illustrates exactly what NOT to do when making something.
 
Like the fact that subtle references and fandom in jokes can be good, but when they distrupt the flow and suspension of disbelief, they ruin the work.

Still can’t believe I sat through the whole thing.

The first fan episode and the fandoms biggest disappointment, I love dash but the entire episode was centred around her and the fucking powerpuff girls. The first fan made episode and the ruined it by making it a cross over and filling it was WAY too many references.

I love how Joshua’s default response to literally any criticism of ANYTHING related to MLP, fanmade or otherwise, is, “Lol, I liked it and you’re just idiots,” and gets upset when people actually give some pretty good reasons to dislike something.
