Lol, yeah. Scoots like is one step below AJ on the “orphan until proven otherwise” list.
 
I know of two artists who portray the Marshmallow Sisters’ parents as neglectful to the point that Rarity may as well be Sweetie’s mom. Though before we put her on the same list as Scoots and the Apples, I gotta say that (a) we did see her parents drop her off at Rara’s once, and we’ve seen them on a couple other quick occasions, (b) Rarity is the type to make a room for Sweetie even if it’s not where she permanently lives, and (c ) Sisterhooves Social really makes me question the idea that Rara has the patience for full-time mommyhood.

She still spends enough time with Rarity that she apparently has her own room at Carousel Boutique. Exactly how much time that entails is admittedly open for interpretation.
 
And there’s a bunch of people who do assume Scotaloo is an orphan, so that may have been a bad example.

You’re assuming that what we see in the show (which is, after all, focused on the Main 7 and the CMC) is representative of all of Sweetie Belle’s life. Should we assume Scootaloo is an orphan? Should we assume Rainbow Dash’s and Fluttershy’s parents are dead?

Not quite; there’s One Bad Apple, where we see Hondo Flanks, implying the CMC are meeting at Sweetie Belle’s home, and there’s Inspiration Manifestation, where Sweetie’s shown walking with her parents.

sweetie belle basically LIVES with rarity  
true sweetie belle isn’t always around  
but that’s because those episodes aren’t centered around her  
I don’t want to argue anymore about it  
it is my headcannon that rarity “adopted” {for lack of a better word}  
they appeared in ONE episode and that was SOLEY to say heywe’regivingyousweetiebellenowbye! and leave. they have not had ONE SECOND of screentime since

unless all that grey is rock dust or greyed shades of pink. that or one of her grand parents had pink mane and or coat and the genes to it skipped a generation and pinkies coat/mane colour is least possible colour for her parents kids to have.(ie they both have the pink coat/mane genes as recesive while the grey genes are dominate)idk
