Yeah, I could see the kid option being open one way or another if Twiley & Luna were bent on bearing their own. I get the impression Velvet’s hang-up is one part distrust of the ex-rogue moon deity, one part culture-shift shock.
Yeah, basically someone who has a reputation of not being a good or well-rounded individual. Though, given Nightmare Moon/Luna’s ambitions all them years ago, my comparison would still stand.

Hmmmm…that could be possible, though if it is linage, dating a princess would be top of the ladder no matter the gender. I’m sure there are magic ways to get around not having the right plumbing. Hell, we have science ways of getting around not having the right plumbling.

Here’s hoping you’re on the right track, though Silfoe’s noted in at least one earlier entry that homophobia’s an occasional thing for ponekind. The Velvets might also be one of those lineage-obsessive clans…be interesting to know whether Papa Sparkle’s opinions on this matter diverge much from the wife’s.
We won’t know the entire story until the storyline is continued, though I suspect it might be because Luna was once Nightmare Moon. It’d be pretty much the equivalent finding out your daughter/son is dating Kim Jung-un…or Josef Stalin…or Adolf Hitler.
Considering we’re talking a relationship between royals, the world has seen weirder.
I thought that Equestria was all about tolerance and equality. Is it, like in the real world, a new idea that the older generations have trouble wrapping their minds around?
