Regardless, that doesn’t necessarily mean the crossover ep’ (which was pretty good, especially seeing Pat Fraley Krang with Gilbert Gottfried Kraang Sub-Prime, which proved funny) is canon for the old show, as it kinda contradicts it’s story about how that Krang used to have a body. Though, one ep’ of the original show kinda contradicted that, as well showing other “Krang-like” creatures in bubble walkers too. (One had a mustache even.) Some speculate his old body could’ve just been another android. Though, I’m not sure if anything in the old campy show was set in stone, so it probably doesn’t matter anyways.

“Turtles Forever” wasn’t bad, but as you said it kinda made the old campy show look dumber then it was. (I heard, that was because Peter Laird doesn’t like the old ‘80s/‘90s show, and wouldn’t let them do the crossover unless they made fun of it as much as possible.) Some of the parody wasn’t bad like ‘87 Raphael’s breaking the fourth wall bits confusing the 2000s characters, ‘87 Shredder & Krang’s arguing & personalities were quite accurate with the old show. Donatello being portrayed as the most competent of the ‘87 turtles & being a living deus-ex-machina was a bit accurate, but they didn’t get Leo right, as most of the time, he was just as serious as the 2003 Leo.
I also like how Hun kinda became the 2003 version of Slash in a way. The Tokka & Razar cameos were nice too, though brief.

Speaking of Krang, I really like how they handled Krang in the new movie. Brad Garret even did a good voice basically sounding like a more deeper version of the old cartoon voice. (Helps he used to do voice work with Pat Fraley.)

He’s a Kraang, but not the 80s/90s Krang. That’s an entirely different Kraang who was deemed a black sheep by the other villainous Kraang (there’s good Kraang and evil Kraang, like in the 2003 series). And yes, this is canon, as shown by the crossover episode “Trans-Dimensional Turtles” where the 80s/90s Turtles team up with the 2012 Nick Turtles.

The episode is pretty good, with the 80s/90s Turtles voiced by their original voice-actors (Cam Clarke as Leonardo, Rob Paulsen as Raphael, Barry Gordon as Donatello, and Townsend Coleman as Michaelangelo) as well as Pat Fraley returning as 80s/90s Krang.

And unlike Turtles Forever, the 80s/90s Turtles are allowed to look good and both sides have light-hearted jokes made at their expense.

The new Nick TMNT is quite good actually. (Even Leonardo’s personality is more likeable) They even brought back old ‘90s characters like Slash, and some obscure ones like Mutagen Man.
It also feels more balanced then the previous cartoons in some ways. It’s funny, without being as silly as the old ‘80s/‘90s show, and it’s also dark/serious, without taking itself too seriously like the 2003 series did. (Though, I loved both classic series, don’t get me wrong.)

Yeah, he’s pretty good as the newer Krang Sub-Prime. (Also, Rossanne Barr does his boss the giant Krang Prime.) Though, it’s kinda weird to think that Gilbert Gotfried is also the new Irma considering the plot-twist with her as well.

Still Pat was the only one who could do classic Krang. His imitators for “Turtles Forever” & “Turtles in Time Reshelled” just weren’t that good. He also used to do the voice for kids.

Hey, who do you guys think is a better Krang/Kraang?

Krang: Pat Fraley on the original TMNT series

Kraang Sub-Prime: Gilbert Gottfried(I’m not kidding. They got Gilbert Gottfried for Kraang Sub-Prime)
