Well, I wish you a lot of luck on it.
There are a lot of different genres I’d like to do. Though the problem is needing to have different names for different genres.
Tell you what, what’s your favorite brand of music? Why not pursue that and not worry about what people want to listen to. You can always find your audience somewhere.
It’s alright. I still mess with FL Studio a bit and with my 7-string…though production feels like a total drag. Actual writing and etc kinda feels like work. I sort of blame dubstep for being what everyone listens and not what I make. (Though I do just genuinely dislike it. And one thing that doesn’t help is how my dad used to try and shove dubstep in my face…) What I make is more repetitive/less dependent on structure. Also it doesn’t help that so many people have a damned hard-on for wubs and vocals. (I am planning to try out vocals…but for the industrial stuff…I’d need to scream or at least yell. My method for that is pretty crappy. lol)
Whoa, ok, I think I may have accidentally let something loose. Are you ok? I’m sorry that you lost passion for what you’ve loved. That’s got to be a tough moment for you. I would hate for people to not like what I’m making and kill any motivation I have for being a developer. I do hope that you one day find that spark again.
Well, I hate a lot of electronic music simply because it isn’t by me. Yeah, do yourself a favor and don’t try to make music. When you fail to be heard or enjoyed by people, you’ll start to hate the genre you were playing. All of this though is if your anything like me. Pretty much the reason I’ve been considering quitting music altogether.
I’m pretty sure Vinyl likes all forms of modern music, but it’s still no excuse to dis the artist who made the collaboration piece between Octavia and Vinyl.
There was a time where not all DJs sucked bad enough to play dubstep.
