They do uh, sorta control the movement of the sun and moon. So yeah the world does sort of revolve around Equestria, so to speak.
The equus genus includes horses, zebras, and donkeys. Admittedly, that leaves out griffons and other sentient species.
But the planet is populated by other species other than pony. It’s really not fair to them, is what I’m saying.
Do ponies invoking Celestia’s name as though she is a deity make her one? No. The adaption of a common expression to the world does not canon make. You may call the planet what you want and I will do the same.
Tough; canon’s canon. I usually think of it as “pony Earth” or “MLP Earth” to distinguish it.

We already have an Earth. I prefer a name with some uniqueness to reinforce that it is different from our world.

welp, if there is a direct conection with the human world as another dimension, it would mean that the planet it´s still earth, only with hooved setient beings

your current filter.To be fair, the actual battle we saw onscreen lasted less than a minute and left the lasting impression that Nightmare Moon is a pathetic teenager throwing a hissy fit instead of a villain with actual menace, so I don’t mind if the comics spice things up a bit.
I’ve seen the planet called Equus. Seems as good a name as any.

Nightmare Moon wasn’t in space at the time, after she was banished to the moon she was angrily shooting spells in every direction and hit those rocks. I imagine they floated off into space and eventually returned due to gravity.
i do not remember them fighting in space like that, let alone sending fireballs at the planet…. did these guys even see that episode?
sighs. that i can ignore, though it would been better if they realized that the battle did not take place in space.
still, this is supposedly going to create living apples…. gonna be hard to buy that they can’t handle apples. or at the very least, that this is supposed to be a legitimate threat.
