It’s more about being around when drama and stuff happens, not really a warning shot for the duck badge as it can be for people that just get into things but don’t act like a duck.  
I tend to get into some debates that can be heated but more often then not I’m not trying to cause problems when I get into them.

Ah, yeah, a “retcon”. One of those fandom terms that don’t make any sense. But that would be a discussion for a different time and place…..  
Anyway, no, it is not a “retcon”. Having Derpy with that different name in the credits is a result of harassment from soccer moms and Hasbro got afraid of more backlash. This fulfills every requirement of self-censorship out of fear.

Her name is still “Derpy”. This was canonically established in “The Last Roundup”. Do you know the definition of “censorship”? It’s altering or removing something to please someone who would otherwise complain or attack, often done out of fear. And that is what Hasbro does here. It censored her name in the credits of “Slice of Life” and continues to do so on toys and merchandise. But this does not change Derpy’s name. It does get bleeped over (and, actually, this has yet to happen even, as credits are evidently not canon and Derpy’s name was not spoken out in “Slice of Life” and neither in any either episode since “The Last Roundup”), but her name is still the same.
 
Really, people must stop saying her name has changed. That kind of thinking is the reason why we have some heroes who write the name “Muffins” into their fics (personally, I boycott such fics, regardless of how well written they are and everyone should do this) and if you assume this as her new name, you only help those soccer moms to victory.

To be perfectly honest, I like the name “picture of a muffin” and referring to her as “The Pony Formerly Known As Derpy”. XD
