She could just be bi and the show hasn’t showed that for the same reasons we’ve seen no overt gay ships. Personally though I think if she wasn’t strictly hetero it’d be a case of her trying to conform to what she thinks is proper “feminine” behavior (being interested in dashing males). It feels like something Rarity would do, trying to fit a certain image, like her affected accent and stuff. Consciously or not, she might not even be doing it knowingly. Believe it or not a lot of people don’t “realize” they’re gay and come out until later in life, sometimes even after they’re married or have had kids, either because of social pressure or else they’ve legit just never been attracted to someone of the same sex before. I’ve actually personally witnessed or heard firsthand of more than one case like that.

I actually like the Rarijack ship a lot, they play off each other so well. The only thing I would question, is Rarity being Lesbian or Bi, as the show has her canonically chasing stallions. That isn’t to say Rarijack cannot happen, just how would you fit this other side of Rarity into it?

That’s funny, cause i can’t think of a reason to ship just about any straight ship in MLP, that’s not even a bias toward slash. It’s just that pretty much all the characters in MLP that have enough personality to give a shit about are female, even most of the fanon background characters are female.

Honestly I HATE all gay and lesbian ships of MLP, and I honestly don’t know why. Either way I hope the LGBT community good luck on its journey and what not…

Appledash is boring in comparison a lot of other possible ships for both characters.

Or better yet, just make a generic OC pony(s) that celebrates it in both ways and not just the lesbian, and that way no one gets mad about ships or stereotypes. Just ponify gay pride or something.

Please, very please, use a less stereotypical character if you want to make an MLP-related gay pride poster.

People see a lot of things. When someone writes “we don’t have the same rights as other people”, they see “we want special rights for ourselves”. When someone writes “women are being unfairly stereotyped”, they see “all men are evil and should die”. When they themselves write long strings of personal insults, they look back on their own words and see “I disagree with you”.
