Well, it’s about your OC. The lines could have been delivered by anyone, but they’d mean more to anyone who doesn’t know the character - and currently, here at least, that means “anyone but you” - if it were someone they knew and have investment in.
(I’m sure it sounds like I’m picking on you. That’s not my intent, but I won’t lie to you either, just calling it as I see it. A lot of stories in which the main character is an OC interacting with mostly canon characters fall into the same trap: The writer’s on a mission to make you adore the OC the way s/he does, or assumes you already do. All the common “Mary Sue” traits are symptoms of that disease. In stories where the aim is to tell a good story and the characters are all rightfully used as a means to that end, even characters with a trait or two from that last can be quite loved. Because we don’t know or care about him as of now, the story cannot be cute because it’s about him. If, in a good story that developed its characters, new and old, well, chapter 10 or so had this exchange once we like the new character, that’d be different. However, because the bad ones outnumber the good ones by so much, you’re gonna have a very hard time shipping an OC with a canon character and having it accepted no matter what you do. Oh, yeah, and the comments aren’t the RP board or FIMfiction and you’re technically not supposed to do that. So, there’s good and then there’s how good you have to be to overcome those two things. Yikes.)
I’ve read, though, where you’ve said that some of your comments stories are the stories that go with some things you’d requested/commissioned. Best to have the uploader put that explanation and the story itself in the artist/uploader notes so it seems less random, less likely to make people say “here’s a guy who saw this picture and decided to fantasize about what is probably 90% himself in pony form romancing the character, wtf, do not want.”
She got up on that cloud herself with the extra weight? She has come far, hasn’t she?
@FossilDiggerPegasus
In practice, a line or two about what the character might be thinking or saying doesn’t usually get everyone bent out of shape. But that was more about shipping her with your OC than the pic at hand. Or hoof.
I’m pretty sure he’s reading the reply that was for me.

Is it still cute though?

That story was supposed to compliment the art and artist, not disrespect them.
It’s disrespectful to the art and artist. RP is reserved for the roleplaying forums.
Why?
the problem isn’t shipping your oc with scoots, it’s that RP in the comments is highly frowned upon here.
Go for it lol
Oh, okay. What do think about me shipping my OC with Scoots?
Rule 0: Be excellent to eachother.
What the heck does “Rule #0” mean?
anyway, seenty, this is probs your best pic yet. keep it up
You don’t like me shipping my OC with Scoots? If you’re wondering how old he is, only a year older than Scootaloo is.
why
Scootaloo: blushes and rubs her belly I know it’s a little early, but what should we name him?
Fossil: Well, if it’s a boy, which most likely it will be, we’ll call him Sky, but if it’s a girl, she’ll be a definite Amber.
Scootaloo: Awww, such cute names.
Fossil: I know Scooty, I know. kisses her big preggy belly
